Privacy policy

Your compositions stay under your control.
Overview
This policy describes Resonate, the iPhone haptic composition app developed by RC Studios, and these product and support pages.
Resonate does not require an account and does not send your motion readings or compositions to RC Studios. The app includes no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Motion data
Resonate uses your iPhone’s motion sensors to translate tilt, roll, and acceleration into haptic intensity, sharpness, and tap events. Motion is processed on the device while the studio is active, including for live meters before you record. Recorded haptic samples become part of your composition. Motion monitoring stops when the app leaves the foreground.
Local storage and deletion
Your current composition, including session and track names, recorded haptic samples, and track settings, is saved in the app’s local storage so you can continue later. RC Studios does not operate a server that stores these sessions.
You can clear or delete tracks, or start a new session to replace the current composition. A previous edit may remain available through the app’s in-memory undo until you close the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain it. Device backups may contain app data, depending on your Apple backup settings.
Exported files
When you export, Resonate writes an AHAP file to the destination you choose using the system file picker. If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that service handles the file under its own privacy terms. RC Studios does not receive a copy. Exported files and backups must be managed or deleted separately from the app.
This website
These pages do not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or application cookies. Hosting providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the website. When hosted on Cloudflare, its handling of this information is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information required to deliver those files. See the Google Fonts privacy information. These website requests are separate from the Resonate app’s on-device processing.
Apple services
Apple may process information through the App Store, device backups, or diagnostic services according to your device settings and Apple’s privacy policy. Those services are separate from Resonate’s app functionality.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if Resonate’s data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
